We will walk through the heart of Naples, in those little streets full of people and filled by different smells, where everything is possible, where – for thousands years – people from all over the world have been starting to call this place “home”. We will visit some Presepe (nativity scene) laboratory, drinking special coffee and good limoncello, we can take cooking class about pizza or pastry.
We also propose a full day excursion to Vesuvio Vulcan with volcanologists and biologists of the “Vesuvio Natura da Esplorare” organization. We will visit the “AMV laboratory” and try to understand a Vulcano through a tactile experience with the minerals of this area. Moreover, it will be possible to create a small handcrafted work, with Vesuvio stones, that everyone can carry home!
The second part of the day is dedicated to the main crater, that will be showed us by specialists from the National Park, and it’s also with them that we will have a walk along the slopes of the Volcano. It will be possible to touch lava from different periods, and to learn how to identify its age. We will find traces of different eruptions or “rain of pyroxene” that has characterized the latest eruption. And of course we will learn what pyroxene is.
We will go to Pompei as well, leading by a special guide that offers us a tactile path: a strong experience, walking through the street of a real Roman city.
All the multisensory experiences and explorations, provide the use of particular materials like tactile maps.
